AI video has come a long way since we saw Will Smith eating spaghetti. Sora, a new AI video platform from OpenAI, the company that brought us ChatGPT, is taking over the internet with its hyperrealistic videos.

Is true-to-life AI video a good thing for society? It certainly opens a massive can of worms.

In keeping with the dystopian vibes, researchers have developed a pair of virtual reality goggles for mice. These goggles allow the rodents to explore virtual mazes or even experience the threat of a predator. If that doesn’t sound like an episode of Black Mirror, I don’t know what does.

Do you have a keyless entry car? A report from overseas has found that emulators are being increasingly used to break into cars. While I’ve never personally broken into a car, it is interesting to think about how much easier technology has made it to hack into cars.
