I’m Meg.

I wear many hats (figuratively). I’m a social media expert, keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, media commentator, business owner, and much more.

Most importantly, however, I’m passionate about helping people (and their businesses) reach their goals and fulfill their potential.

I’m an educator and an idea-generator.

So many businesses today find the very idea of social media daunting, but it doesn’t have to be so scary. All you need are the tools and someone to show you how to use them. You wouldn’t step onto a building site without the proper training. The same goes for social media.

And that’s what I do. Through the power of social media, I want to help you grow your businesses and make more meaningful connections.

It’s as simple as that.

How did I get here?

Origin stories are weird.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with technology and computers. Like, since the beginning. 1984 was the beginning, right?

After studying advertising and PR at university, I left Texas for a backpacking holiday in Australia and pretty much never left. There was a “short” three-year stay in New Zealand, but the dream was always to get back to Perth and begin my career.

As a traveller I fell into tourism and hospitality a bit by default, and when social media exploded it, only made sense that this would be the avenue for me to succeed.

Fast forward almost 20 years, and I’ve since founded Coffey & Tea, #SMPerth, State of Social, and have been named one of Australia’s Top 50 Small Business Leaders.

What am I up to right now?

Well, when I’m not snapping pics of my dog, hunting for Perth’s best eats, or keeping an eye on everything happening in the world of social media and digital marketing, I’m busy managing Coffey & Tea, a digital marketing agency; running #SMPerth, Perth’s go-to source for everything digital and monthly meet-up drinks; and/or planning State of Social, Australia’s most in-demand digital and social media conference.

Honestly, I’m usually doing all these things at the same time.

If I’m not behind a screen, I’m usually in front of an audience, running any number of training workshops, giving keynote speeches, and sharing my knowledge with businesses all over the country.

But, wait, there’s more! Even if we’ve never met, you may have heard my voice or seen my face. If there’s one thing I love doing, it’s talking … and talking … and talking. That’s why you’re likely to see my pop up all over your radio and TV, with frequent guest spots on 6PR, Channel Seven, and more.

How can I help your business?

When it comes to social media and digital (good and bad) I’ve seen it all. It’s the reason I love helping businesses find their way to the good and steer clear of the bad.

I want to help your team grow.

Whether you’re after one-on-one training, or tailored social media workshops to help upskill and motivate your team, I will tailor my training programs to suit your needs and help achieve your goals.

Let’s start making stronger connections, on and offline.
