Customer centric marketing is such a powerful thing to keep in mind, so why do so many businesses seem to treat it like an afterthought?

While it may seem complicate at first glance, customer centric marketing is really all about keeping your customers at the front of your mind across all of your marketing efforts.

I was over the moon to be asked to join Yaron Been on the EcomXFactor podcast this week to have a chat about improving your profits through customer centric marketing and so much more.

Yaron and I chatted about tone of voice, how to ‘touch’ your customers, embracing pop culture, vetting influencers, and so much more. Throughout all of these discussions, however, customer centric marketing remained the focus.

One of the most-common mistakes I see time and time again, when it comes to social media and digital marketing, is brands focussing on quantity over quality. So many businesses think that more content means more likes and more followers. However, that could not be further from the truth. If you really want to connect with your followers on social media, focus on quality content over a sheer quantity of posts.

With so much to cover with Yaron in just one hour, we managed to spend some time discussing one of my favourite platforms on the world right now, Pinterest. When it comes to Pinterest, one of the most important things to keep in mind is how people are using the platform. When someone comes to Pinterest, they’re most likely heading their with intent. As marketers, Pinterest is a great platform for customer centric marketing. Because the platform is essentially a search engine, it’s important to focus your marketing efforts on what your followers or customers actually want and tailor your efforts to it.
