Marketers need to slow down

If, like me, you work in social media, you’re probably tired, but I think I know why we’re tired and what we can do about it.

Social media never seems to stop, with marketers jumping on new platforms quicker than they can say “do I need to be on this platform?”

As a long-time listener, I was honoured to join Daniel Murray on The Marketing Millennials podcast, and in Daniel’s own words, “turn the f#@k up!”

We had a great chat about my journey into marketing, “shiny object syndrome,” and the endless stream of new app after new app.

In the fast-paced digital world, the temptation to do everything as quickly as possible. However, before you put any content out in the world, it’s so important to ask yourself: what is the point of this, what am I trying to achieve?

As user 9,601 to sign up to Threads, I understand the irony of me telling people to slow down, but we could all definitely chill out a bit from time to time.
