About me.
Perth based, working nationwide.
I take what’s happening online and make it make sense.
I’m Meg.

I’m a social media strategist, a keynote speaker, and the person newsrooms call when something online needs explaining.
Platforms change every few weeks. Your job is to sell rooms, tickets, product or time. Mine is to tell you which of those changes matters to you, and which you can safely ignore.
I’ve run Coffey & Tea since 2013, helping businesses in hospitality, tourism and events turn social media into bookings, not just likes.
What am I up to right now?
I’m keeping an eye on everything happening in social media and digital, so you don’t have to.
When I’m not behind a screen, I’m usually in front of an audience, running training workshops, giving keynote speeches or sharing what I know with businesses nationwide. In between, I’m snapping pics of Henry or exploring Jurien Bay.

Where State of Social came from.
In 2013 I started SMPerth, WA’s first social media resource and community. Marketing novices and experts came for news, workshops, masterclasses and get-togethers.
In 2018 it became the launch pad for State of Social, which has now run nine editions. SMPerth wound up in June 2025, and State of Social carries on.
On air for nearly 15 years.
Even if we’ve never met, you may have heard my voice or seen my face. I’ve been on air on Channel Seven, the ABC, TripleM Radio and, last December, the BBC, explaining whatever the internet did that week.
How can I help your business?
I’ve seen it all when it comes to social media and digital (both good and bad). That’s why I love helping businesses find the good and avoid the bad.
I want to help your team grow.
Whether you’re looking for one-on-one training or tailored social media workshops to help upskill and motivate your team, I will tailor my training programs to suit your needs and help you achieve your goals.
“Meg has a lovely engaging style that makes her audience feel like they are sharing something special.”
