Facebook tests option to send emails via Business Manager

Facebook looks to be expanding it’s CRM capabilities with the addition of a new email marketing system.
I spotted this new feature in one of the accounts in my Business Manager and had to go exploring of course.
It would appear that Facebook is now allowing you to send marketing emails to clients and has also reworked it’s contact management system.
As you can see in the screenshots below, users are assigned an email address at fb.com and must agree to behave responsibility with the data.
Is this new and exciting from Facebook or is this just a new attempt to grab data? Sinically I think it’s the latter.
That said, for those just getting into the email marketing game this does make it very easy to keeps things integrated together.
