The world’s most well known astronaut would arguably be Neil Armstrong, but recently Chris Hadfield has been all over news and YouTube.
Hadfield is probably most well known for his Bowie cover of Space Oddity – in space, and he’s also done a series of videos that show what life is really like in space. He is a fantastic role model to us all, living by the old ‘no dream is too big if you work hard and set your mind to it’ mantra. His videos are definitely worth your time if you need some inspiration or just want to see some really cool stuff from space.
Target in the US have recently changed the signage in their stores to be a little more politically correct (PC), instead of isle’s being labelled as ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ toy departments, they are now just called ‘toy departments’. There was an outrage on Facebook by loyal customers saying that they would never return to the store, simply because they are being far too politically correct (apparently that’s now a thing). One US citizen took matters into his own hands, creating a fake Target customer service profile on Facebook to respond to these comments. Now a newly appointed Target customer service representative, he begins to ‘troll’ Target customers on Facebook writing responses that all of us would love to say, but never could. Target embraced the events by posting a picture of two troll dolls and tagged it “Troll’s can be a lot of fun, now on sale!” To which one Facebooker’s reply was: ‘Well done Target, you win the internet!’, we would have to agree.
The hit 90’s TV show that skyrocketed Will Smith’s acting career – The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is prepped for a comeback! While the new show won’t be the exactly as it used to be, it’s set to be a rip-off of the iconic show and will be under close supervision from Will Smith’s production company. Reports say that this time Smith will be on the other side of the camera, however with none of the cast members named as yet we can hope though right?
It seems like a trend these days for airlines to spice up their air safety videos in an attempt to get people to actually pay attention. Air New Zealand has gone above and beyond their competitors, giving us a Hobbit themed version back in 2012 that starred the cast from the hit movies. Now in 2015 the airline has released a Men in Black safety video, starring none other than the All Blacks rugby team. It really is a must watch!
Frozen fans, listen up. Chris Buck, the director of Frozen and Tarzan has leaked some very important (or perhaps not), information to MTV during an interview recently. Tarzan could very possibly be Elsa and Anna’s baby brother. Buck has fueled fan theories by saying Anna and Elsa’s parents never died, but were in fact shipwrecked on an island, where they gave birth to Tarzan. Okay, so it may be a little far fetched… “I say, whatever people want to believe, go for it. If you want to tie them all together, then do it. That’s the spirit of Disney.” Buck added.
