Chasing New Experiences • A Virtual Coffee With Podcast
7 October 2021 8:05 pm
With so much going on in the world, I’m always looking for new experiences, so it was great to jump on a podcast hosted by a friend for a wonderful chat.
I was over the moon to join Dave Monk on A Virtual Coffee With (or as it was rebranded as A Virtual Gin and Tonic With) to chat all about life, inspiration, journeys, and challenging the status quo.
While we were certainly thinking about the people around the country who aren’t having as good of a time as we are here in Perth, we couldn’t help but kick things off with a quick chat about the hype around Perth right now.
As you are all well aware by now, Perth absolutely smashed the AFL Grand Final, and no one was less surprised than me. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Perth is the greatest city in the world.
After touching on how a girl from Texas ended up calling this wonderful city home, Dave and I moved on to giving a decent (OK, more than a decent plug) to Coffey & Tea.
While I don’t feel like an outsider in Perth anymore, it hasn’t always been the case. Nowadays, I love bringing people together, so Dave and I spent some time talking about the importance of collaboration and chasing experiences.
If you want to become a better marketer or salesperson, you need to make yourself open to new experiences, and those new experiences are all around us. We all get so busy with work, so finding new ways to do things and challenge the status quo.
We then flipped the script and I treated Dave to a rapid-fire speed round of questions, and I have to say it was some pretty hard-hitting journalism.
Haven’t been able to catch my chat with Dave? I left Dave with a polarising comment. Have a listen to the full episode down below to find out what it was!
