The Future of the Workplace • Perth Business Podcast

The future of the workplace seems to be a hot-button topic at the moment, especially as the world is still dealing with COVID-19.

With so many people and companies shifting their operations to a work-from-home model, it is interesting to look back at how the world worked before March 2020.

If there are two words to describe how the world worked pre-COVID, they are: too much.

I was excited to join Tarryn and Jake as a guest on The Perth Business Podcast, and we had a fantastic chat about business, personal growth and the future of the workplace.

After touching on a bit on my background and how I made my way all the way from Texas to Perth, Western Australia, we moved onto the world of business, personal growth, and the future of the workplace.

If there is one thing that has transformed the way we work in the last 10 years, it is the on set of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For me, my team and I have been living the future of the workplace, working from home for the last six years, and I am a big believer in the importance of work-life balance and finding the right time to work. There is certainly a lot to gain from a flexible work environment, trusting your team, and setting your own hours.

That nine-to-five life definitely does not work for everyone. Finding a model that works for you and your team is an incredibly important step in establishing a successful business.

If you ask me, it is about time the working world began making this shift towards flexibility, especially spotlight that has been placed on mental health in recent years.

Will we see the workplace regress back to the way it was before COVID-19. I certainly hope not. Hopefully, the future of the workplace is already upon us.
