What’s makes a viral video? Find out as Meg Coffey gives her social media roundup on Saturday Nights with Tony McManus on 6PR.

  • Judge rules ISP’s to hand over details of people illegal downloading, and with the recent introduction in Australia it is probably a timely welcome. “If the broadcasters and the organisations want to come to the party and not have that delay, then I think Australians might change the way they act.”
  • The Apple Watch release, but Apple states: “Please don’t lineup outside of our stores”. The organisation changes their tune and wants consumers to seek information and buy their products online, no need to camp out overnight for the Apple Watch because you simply won’t get one!
  • Dove’s Choose Beautiful campaign, proving that beautiful is a choice. This viral video placed women in front of two doors, one labelled beautiful and the other labelled average. In just one day the video received 700,000 views, Dove certainly knows how to do viral campaigns!
  • The online dating craze continues, it is now responsible for an increasing number of marriages. The busy lifestyle that most of us lead doesn’t allow time to go out and meet people which increases the appeal of these online dating apps.
